Maestro Gaspar comes from The Shipbo Tribe of The Peruvian Amazon. He was born in the native community of Puerto Consuelo, which had no contact with the outside world until doctors without boarders arrived in 1993. He began to study the plant medicine with his father when he was 14 years old. He is the 7th generation of shaman in his bloodline. Today he is recognized by Peru as one of the Keepers of these Ancient Medicines and Hosts ceremonies at his maloka in Pucallpa.
